Does the UK have the resources to do fracking? In terms of recoverable hydrocarbons and water? The US has kept its electricity and energy prices low due to fracking, while still reducing greenhouse gas emissions as coal fired power plants are replaced by a combination of natural gas power plants, solar panels, and batteries.
If the UK could do fracking, it seems like something that conservatives there should support and be running. It would reduce inflation and could provide a lot of high paying jobs to people without university degrees living outside of the southeast.
